Power BI Desktop
Connect to Data Feed – Web Services
- Obtain User’s Web Service Access Key from BC to use as password for connection from Power BI desktop/report: (Example uses LINC as User on BC)
Click with mouse button in Web Service Access Key field, Ctrl-C & should see window indicating ‘Field Value Copied’
- Paste Web Service Access Key field value in Notepad to ensure string ends with ’=’
- On Power BI POWER QUERY EDITOR Screen, Select query with a yellow triangled exclamation mark in front of it and click on Edit Credentials to specify how to connect to Data Feed
Select BASIC & ‘highest level’ of connection to apply settings to, and click on Connect button.
Username is your USER in BC (example is LINC).
Password is the Web Service Access Key from BC User Card.
Connections will be established to Data Feed for all queries. Could take some time.
All yellow triangled exclamation marks in front of queries should have disappeared.
