B. Types of Permission Errors and how to solve them

1. Object Type & Object ID specified in Error Message

How do I know which Permission Set(s) include a specific Object ID with the required Permissions?

1. Create an Excel document with the information:

Go to Permission Sets page, on any Permission Set select Permissions and then select View all permissions:

Use the Excel worksheet to find all the Permission Sets that contain a specific Object ID and identify the Permission Set(s) with the correct required Permissions (Read, Insert, Modify & Delete).

2. Add this Permission Set to the Permission Set section of the User's User Card.

2. Object ID NOT specified in Error Message

Go to the Table Information page to find the Table ID No.

Then follow the same process in 1. above to add the correct Permission Set for the User.

3. Execute Error

This type of error relates to licensing and should be reported to Linc to resolve.
