The below procedure applies for both new Jet report Installations and Updates to existing Jet report installations. 

You will know that an Update is available when you see the icon, highlighted in yellow below, under the Jet reports Menu in Excel:


1. Download the Jet Reports installer from the Insight Software website below: 

 

 

 

2. Extract the downloaded zipped Jet Installer and select the Jet Reports Excel Add-in Setup option to start the Installation/Upgrade:

4. Please enter your Jet Activation Code if this is a New Jet reports Installation. If you are completing a Jet Reports Upgrade you can select NEXT without having to re-enter the Jet reports Activation Code as with the initial installation of Jet repots: 


 

 

 


 


5. Select only the Jet Excel Add-in feature to install:

For a NEW Jet Reports Installation, once the Installation has been completed successfully, the Jet Data Source(s) for Business Central needs to be setup. The Steps below are not necessary for an Upgrade Installation.


1. From an existing Jet reports Installation, under the Excel Jet Reports Menu Item, Select Settings -> Data Source Settings:


2. Select Export to export the Data Source(s) to be imported for the new Installation: 


3. Open Excel on the New Jet Reports Installation. Under the Excel Jet Reports Menu Item, Select Settings -> Data Source Settings:

 

 4. Select Import to import the exported Data Source(s):


 

5. When you've imported the Jet data source(s), you can test the connection:
